Steve Crook
Director
Steve has been working in consulting and advisory businesses for over twenty years. Prior to Vantage, he was Vice President of Consulting for Northern Europe at Business Objects (latterly SAP Business Objects), where he grew the team to over 170 business analytics and enterprise performance management consultants by focussing on quality and client success.
Prior to SAP Business Objects, Steve was the CEO of Edgewing - a data services and business intelligence consultancy that Business Objects acquired in 2006.
With three children under the age of 10 Steve has a busy family life but still makes it a priority to get out on two wheels at least once a week - whether cycling or motorcycling.
David Werrett
Director
Prior to his career in consulting, David held management consulting roles in utilities, manufacturing and construction companies. David joined profitability and cost management specialist software provider ALG Software where he led the consulting team to deliver numerous successful implementations. ALG was acquired by Business Objects in 2006 where David continued to lead and grow the team; Business Objects was itself acquired in 2008 by SAP. David left SAP Business Objects in November 2008 and founded Vantage.
David's weekends are spent with his young family and following the fortunes of Manchester United; he occasionally even finds time to work on his golf swing.
Steve Benham
PCM Consulting Manager
Steve is responsible for the Profitability and Cost Management (PCM) delivery team and has managed tens of large profitability and costing projects to successful "go lives". He has been working in profit management since 1997, when he joined ALG Software, the original author of SAP PCM.
As an expert in Activity Based Costing (ABC) and related solutions, Steve has authored a number of documents including guidelines published by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW). Steve has also presented a number of briefings and Masterclasses to CIMA membership.
He is an FCA, and was Chief Financial Officer of a number of venture capital (VC) backed companies for 15 years. In these roles he managed finance teams and was an integral to a number VC "exits".
In his free time, Steve likes to sail (having recently qualified as a Day Skipper), play golf and, in the winter months, he can be found on rugby fields around the South East of England, keeping 30 players in check as an RFU-qualified referee.
Ludovic Veale
EIM/BI Consulting Manager
As Consulting Manager heading up the EIM & BI team, Ludovic Veale has established a successful consultancy team responsible for delivering the data and reporting elements of key Vantage projects;high profile data-focused implementations which complement and support the Performance Management services offered by Vantage.
Since beginning his career with CSC in 1996, Ludovic has become a field leader, having directed major global system implementations involving Information Management tools at some of the world's largest and most complex organisations, including Cisco systems and BP. Whilst at Business Objects as Principal Consultant, Ludovic was responsible for championing the adoption of Data Services (formerly Data Integrator) following its acquisition from Acta.
In his spare time Ludovic plays tennis for his local league. His other passion is skiing, and he spent much of his youth racing giant slalom in the Savoie Alps, where he lived with his French family. Ludovic is bilingual and widely travelled, having lived not only in France, but also in the USA, where his love of computing was first born: at school in Palo Alto in the heart of Silicon Valley!
Gary Leftwich
Planning and Consolidation Consulting Manager
Gary has been delivering performance improvement into the office of the Finance Director for many years. Formerly with PwC, then Cartesis, Business Objects and Steria, Gary now leads the Vantage Planning and Consolidation team, bringing together the best consultants in the market for both SAP BFC and BPC implementations.
Gary has been personally involved in almost all of the Cartesis/Business Objects/SAP BFC implementations in the UK over the past 10 years, and in the past three years, has overseen numerous BPC implementations (both Microsoft and Netweaver), making him uniquely placed to advise clients in all industries on the most effective and efficient use of the technology.
When he's not working with clients, Gary can be found on the football field as manager of his son's local football team near Newbury in Berkshire.
Jon Scott
Client Executive
Jon works with prospective and existing clients to provide advice on SAP BusinessObjects products and Vantage services, assisting clients to develop a clear business case for investment.
He is an ACMA and has extensive experience of finance processes including cost allocation, activity based costing, profitability analysis and planning. From this experience he is able to successfully position SAP BusinessObjects EPM products to clients and clearly communicate the benefits clients can expect to achieve.
Jon specialises in PCM and has deep product knowledge acquired over five years as a senior consultant for SAP and BusinessObjects delivering PCM projects. He successfully led a number of implementations through the full project methodology including Shell, Insight Investments and DWP.
Outside of work Jon enjoys playing tennis whenever the opportunity presents.
Andy Gleave
Client Executive
Andy is a Client Executive with responsibility for business development and account management into a number of industry sectors namely Utilities and Telecommunications, Manufacturing and Services, Travel, Trade, Transport and Retail. In addition, Andy provides pre-sales expertise for SAP's Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solutions, with specialism around SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation (BPC).
Andy has been working in the EPM and Business Intelligence arena for over 15 years, working most recently for SAP UK&I as a Senior Pre-Sales Consultant with additional business development responsibility for SAP's EPM solutions, leading several large sales campaigns across different industry sectors. He has particular industry experience in Utilities, Public Sector, Retail and Airlines. Andy is trained on and regularly uses SAP's Value Engineering methodology, which helps organisations benchmark themselves and develop business cases.
Prior to working at SAP, Andy worked for Oracle UK in both pre-sales and implementation consulting roles.
Out of work, Andy has a young family who he enjoys spending time with, and likes to play sport, particularly football and golf.
